antiwar.com  .

claims made by Foreign Minister Ashur bin Khayyal earlier this week that the money, held by the US, France, and other EU member nations, had already been returned.

The $20 billion was supposed to be the first of an estimated $150 billion in overseas cash returned to the Libyan government after it was frozen by UN Security Council sanctions during the NATO summer attack on Libya.
The US has claimed it freed up more than $30 billion of Libyan assets to be made available to the new NATO-backed regime, but it seems that freeing it up and actually giving it to them are two very different things, and the central bank is still waiting on the actual money.

The people of Libya must be supported and other drastic solutions might have to be found.

If Maltese government did not have so many internal problems, it would have been a solution to move in and work with them for the benefit of everyone. This has now have to be done, privately.

According to Asharq Alawsat these troops arrived in Brega.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/222317.html

One of the comments on presstv:

Quote
Dear George, yes the intended plan of 12,000 US TROOPS is in LIBYA, however, to shodow with tiny curtain, US has sent these troops to MALTA, allowing gradual deployment into LIBYA, no the question is WHAT are they doing there, matter of fact they should be out.

It's pathetic to know that foreigners know more what's going on in our country than we do.

Obama Sending US Forces To Libya
 By Stephen Lendman
 1-13-12

On January 13, Cynthia McKinney said Obama has 12,000 US troops in Malta heading for Libya.
Throughout 2011, Washington and rogue NATO partners committed Nuremberg level crimes. They made Libya a charnel house.

Terror bombing caused massacres, mass destruction and human misery. Libya remains wracked by violence, instability, and illegitimate governance.

Occupation, colonization, pillaging and exploitation intend raping Libya for profit.   America's Marines Hymn begins with the lines, "From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli."

If Malta positioned troops are marines, they'll return for the first time in over 200 years.
McKinney said:   "The NTC (National Transitional Council) not only has to contend with a vibrant, well-financed grassroots-supported resistance, but the various militias....are also fighting each other."

"I believe this 'sociocide' of Libyan society (like in Iraq, Afghanistan and other US war theaters) is part of a carefully crafted plan of destabilization that ultimately serves US imperial interests and those of a Zionist state and its US agents who are bent on Greater Israel's suzerainty over huge swaths of Arabic-speaking populations."   Reports from Misrata say Apache helicopters slaughtered rebel insurgents trying to scale Brega oil platforms.

"A resistance Libyan doctor-become-journalist reported yesterday that (they're all) occupied by NATO and that warships occupy Libya's ports."
Photos show "Italian encampments....with an announcement that French are to follow."
Moreover, "(t)housands of young (pro-Jamahiriya) Libyans languish under torture and assassination in a Misrata prison....Black Libyans are being beaten, whipped, threatened, harassed, and humiliated."

"I hope the report I'm reading from 12 January 2012 is not true."
After months of Washington-led NATO atrocities, McKinney's account likely represents a small snapshot of what millions of Libyans now face.   It's the same wherever America shows up, and they're coming back after using air power and insurgents to reign death and destruction on defenseless men, women and children.   Perhaps now they plan more of it on the ground.

You should give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they're going back to find the Gaddafi's missiles that supposedly could make it to South Europe.

assuming i do give them the benefit of the doubt, do you really believe there are 12,000 US troops stationed in Malta?
frankly when i posted this to a place where american friends can see it, i was asked:  are they there?  and i thought, what the hell am i supposed to say?  that to find out i'd have to break into their compound in ta qali?

looks like the people at rense.com know more about what's happening on this little island than we do ... or not.

Libya at war with Malta

Libya starts a war with Malta by sending hundreds of illegal immigrants to Malta in these last few days after occupying a Maltese ship with troops in Tripoli port for three weeks.
Worse is expected in the coming hours.

http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/en/newsdetails/news/national/Former-SAG-officer-was-Muammar-Gaddafi-s-bodyguard-and-gunrunner-20120613Borg, clearly a supporter of his former employer, was highly critical of the international media and NATO for their role in "distorting truth and facts" about the situation.
"It was never true that government troops were on some kind of killing spree," he argued, going on to recount how he was exposed to phone calls in which Col. Gaddafi made it clear that he did not want anybody to shoot at or kill Libyans.
"This revolution was all about money," Borg said, as he accused the Benghazi-led National Transitional Council who started the revolution after their requests for money were turned down by Tripoli.
"They were greedy, and always wanted more, and when they could get no more, they instigated the people to revolt with the help of French, Qatari, British and American propaganda."
Revealing that Col. Gaddafi used to travel from place to place in an ordinary taxi while Nato planes flew overhead and dropped bombs over the country's infrastructure, Borg denounced what he claims was a massacre he witnessed on the outskirts of Benghazi, sometime in March last year, while he was escorting a cache of weapons to troops defending the oil-town of Brega.
"As soon as my convoy arrived, we were struck by a hell-storm of US cruise missiles that killed hundreds of Libyan soldiers," he said.
According to Borg, Col. Gaddafi's downfall was the result of a series of "betrayals" namely by his former foreign minister Musa Kusa, who defected to Britain and later to Qatar, and his former Prime Minister and oil minister Shokri Ghanem who defected to Italy and then to Vienna where he was found dead a month ago.
"These are the men who tainted the regime. They stole millions, and painted themselves as some immaculate components of a government they suddenly started to despise."
While explaining that he was regularly in the company of Seif al-Islam - the once heir apparent to the Gaddafi rule, now in captivity in Zintan and awaiting trial by the NTC - Borg says that he was disgusted with the NTC's brutal "murder" of Col. Gaddafi.
"I call it murder because the NTC had the moral obligation of ensuring a fair trial, and upholding their cause for democracy in Libya. With the way they killed Gaddafi, the NTC can never claim to be either democratic or legitimate," he claimed.
Borg concluded that Col. Gaddafi wanted to die in Sirte, known to be his birthplace.
"I heard him with my own ears. When they used to tell him to take cover or to flee to another country, he always said that he will never leave Libya, and would rather die in Sirte, like a real Libyan would do."
Tony Borg's contract in Libya expired after he safely escorted the Gaddafi family members across the border into Algeria.

Good man, a true loyal Maltese.
Now the Libyans can enjoy their "democracy".

Libya must stop causing trouble for Malta

900 million Euros damages to Libya by Malta

Libya has to take back all illegal immigrants and pay a heavy compensation for all the trouble they are giving us with this issue for nine years, till today.

The bill that will be forwarded to Libya shall be of 900 million Euros.

Libya: stop hounding migrants

Nearly a year after the conflict in Libya, the central authorities are struggling to exert their control over the various factions that contributed to overthrowing the dictator.
Migrants are arrested at checkpoints and in their homes and taken to improvised detention centres where they are held for indefinite periods in airless and insalubrious cells

As in all situations of political and social instability, the most vulnerable face the most serious threats.
Migrants are arrested at checkpoints and in their homes and taken to improvised detention centres, run by Katibas, where they are held for indefinite periods in airless and insalubrious cells, suffering physical and psychological abuse at the hands of the guards. They have no idea whether and when they may regain their freedom.

These are some of the findings of a new report issued by the International Federation for Human Rights, Migreurop and Justice without borders for migrants (JWBM), based on an investigation in Libya last June, during which the delegation interviewed hundreds of migrants held in eight detention centres in Tripoli, Benghazi and the Nafusa Mountain region.

The European Union and its member states have thus far appeared to ignore these grave abuses and seem to be determined to repeat the errors of the past, persisting with a closed border policy and continuing to finance detention centres on the other side of the Mediterranean.

The testimonies of those interviewed confirm that the vast majority of migrants from neighbouring countries and elsewhere in West Africa have no intention of continuing their journeys to Europe. They want to find work in Libya. Only those fleeing conflicts in the Horn of Africa, seeking the international protection to which they are legally entitled, plan to leave Libya (which has not ratified the 1951 Geneva Convention on Refugees and has no asylum system).

It is these potential refugees who, in desperation, embark on unseaworthy vessels in attempts to find asylum on the European continent. EU member states must stop burying their heads in the sand and offer these refugees opportunities for resettlement on their territory so that they can benefit from effective and last-ing protection.

These issues are all the more urgent since, as the situation in Libya stabilises, the country will once again rely on migrant workers to rebuild and develop its economy.

Foreign companies, many of them European, will resume their investments in Libya and the country will become a hub of intra-African migration. The EU must contribute to this mobility with ambition and responsibility, including by developing a more flexible visa policy and by not forcing Libya to readmit non-nationalsGreens-EFA group.

The Greens, pawns of the Rodents of the Cohen Banditt type.
The Greens, useful idiots in their majority - treacherous bastards, their leaders, who know exactly what they are doing.
An insidious article pushing for more immigration into Europe.

That and only that, is the goal of the Rodents -
and it is the Rodents who control the Greens.
Useful idiots!.
