Malta could be UK’s gateway to Europe – Muscat
Prime Minister Joseph Muscat allays fears that Malta would suffer as a consequence of Brexit, says UK referendum result could provide new oppurtunities for Malta as it coudl serve as the UK's gateway into Europe

The Maltese government was prepared for a possible UK exit from the EU and for the past few months had been studying adequate contingency plans that included all the ministries, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said today.
“We have a strong economy … Never has it been more important to have strong leadership in place whose major focus was on the economy and providing a strong financial foundation to local businesses and companies,” Muscat said during an interview on One Radio.
Speaking in the wake of the decision taken by UK voters to leave the European Union, Muscat sought to reassure the Maltese public that the government had the issue well in hand, and that the country would not suffer.

Conversely, Muscat said he felt Brexit could provide new opportunities for Malta and for Maltese companies, as the country could now possible serve as the UK’s gateway into Europe, and vice versa.
“Never has the special relationship between Malta and the UK been more important than at this very moment,” Muscat said, while revealing that – together with the deputy PM and foreign affairs minister – he had met British high commissioner Rob Luke soon after the Brexit vote was final.

In that meeting, the government made it clear it was eager to start talks with the UK on establishing bilateral agreements on a number of issues.

Muscat said that though he did not agree with the UK’s decision to leave the EU, he could not condone those in the EU who called the British voters stupid for not understanding the real issues, or those who still insisted the EU was perfect and always right.

The EU would be better served looking into the reasons why so many people voted to leave the union instead of trying to convince people that they were beyond reproach.
“Maybe someone should have listened to all those people in the UK who had been complaining for a long time that, with the influx of legal and illegal immigrants, they could not recognise their own neighbourhoods any longer,” he said.

Muscat said these were not racist considerations but social issues that needed to be discussed, as people had shown they were fed up of being ignored.

“Just because the government does not speak about immigration all the time, people should not think that we are not concerned that the residents of Marsa and Birzebbugia are worried. We are.”
It was worrying that many social democrat parties in Europe were losing their supporters to more extreme parties, as had happened in Italy, France and England.

“I am sometimes afraid that European socialism has become the playground of the elite and is slowly merging with conservative elitism, instead of continuing to serve the people,” Muscat said.'''...

The mad rush towards quitting the EU -
which in effect, is a half way house to our IDEA of Nova Europa.
This stampede back to the Nation States spells discord, disharmony - and a field day for the Rodents.

Only our IDEA of a truly Free Europe of Regions and Peoples:
can now save the White Race from the impending friction, leading to more fratricidal follies.
There is nothing, no creative political thought in the market of Ideas.

Re-arranging deckchairs on the Titanic?

https://emanwcross.net/2016/06/28/re-arranging-deckchairs-on-the-titanic/

A knife-edge vote on British membership of the European Union is, if the controlled “out” tabloids are to be believed, all about “saving Britain.” But is this really going to happen?

Will Brexit halt mass Third World immigration?  Will Brexit halt the promotion of the “LGBT” mental illness? Will Brexit undo the fundamental flaws of the banking and financial systems? Will Brexit halt the decline of the manufacturing industry? Will Brexit really “save” Britain?

The answer to all of these questions is, of course, no. The reality is that mass Third World immigration—which has destroyed almost all the large inner city areas of the UK, created Islamic no-go zones, and spurred on internal terrorism—are all policies which have been pursued by successive British governments, and not the European Union.

The promotion of the “LGBT” insanity and the wilful destruction of traditional family values through the promotion of homosexual marriage, was started by the “Conservative” Party, independently of the European Union.

The inherent contradictions and often outright fraud of the banking and financial systems—so vividly demonstrated with the multi-billion pound “bailouts” of a few years ago after the “prime mortgage” investment disaster—happened completely outside of the European Union.

Nigel Farage speaks to the European Parliament

------------------

Farage: a good orator, but hollow as a drum.
He has no vision, no solution except bilateral trade-deals with every "foreigner" across the channel.
Like his mentor, that old fool Churchill, he has done his best to bankrupt Britain.

And his: "allow us to pursue our global ambitions in future" - so ridiculous!
England will now hang on to America's apron strings, more than ever before.
Tragic.

Theresa May leads Boris Johnson in race to be the new UK prime minister

UK Conservative Party heavyweights Boris Johnson and Theresa May will set out their competing visions for Britain outside the EU as they formally enter the race to succeed Prime Minister David Cameron in Downing Street today.

In her launch, Mrs May will promise to reunite both the Conservative Party and the country in the wake of the referendum campaign while securing the best deal possible for the UK in the negotiations with Brussels.
In an olive branch to Brexit supporters, the Home Secretary - who was in the Remain camp - will set out plans for a new government department to take charge of negotiating Britain's exit from the EU to be headed by a senior minister who campaigned for Leave....

Exit: Boris Johnson drops out of race to become UK prime minister

Former London Mayor Boris Johnson, who had been considered one of the favourites to replace David Cameron as UK Prime Minister, said today he would not be standing.
The former London mayor's decision not to join the battle leaves Home Secretary Theresa May as hot favourite to be the next Prime Minister.
It came after the shock announcement by Johnson's fellow Brexit campaigner Michael Gove - who had widely been expected to be Mr Johnson's running mate - that he was putting himself forward for the leadership....

The announcement came as Justice Secretary Michael Gove announced he would seek the Tory leadership after concluding that Boris Johnson "cannot provide the leadership or build the team for the task ahead".

Slovak EU presidency aims to take power away from Brussels

Slovakia is taking on the EU presidency on Friday (1 July) with a "positive agenda" and an ambition to reshape the balance of powers within the EU, in the wake of the British decision to leave.

The Slovak government, which in recent months has been at loggerheads with the European Commission and some other member states over the EU scheme to relocate asylum seekers, will seek "constructive discussions," prime minister Robert Fico said.

"Brussels has a negative reputation in Europe," Robert Fico said to explain why EU leaders will be meeting in the Slovak capital. (Photo: Consillium)

It will "focus on a positive agenda, not on topics that divide us," he told journalists in Bratislava on Thursday.

He said migration would feature high on the presidency's agenda and that the EU would have to "refocus and redefine policies that are unsuccessful".

Fico pointed out that opinion polls showed that "a vast majority of Europeans disagree with the current state of migration policy in Europe".

Slovakia's role as EU president, Fico explained, would be to "create a forum" to allow member states to discuss the commission's proposals.

"We have to focus on mechanisms that function, not on those that don't function," he said, referring to the relocation mechanism.

Informal summit

The Brexit and its consequences have added a new item on Slovakia's presidency agenda. An informal summit about the future of the EU, without the UK, will be held in Bratislava on 16 September.

"Brussels has a negative reputation in Europe," Fico said to explain why he asked to organise the EU leaders meeting in the Slovak capital instead of the EU capital.

Although only informal, it will be the first EU summit held outside Brussels since 2000, when the EU decided to end summits in the country holding the rotating presidency.

Fico said that Slovakia had "great expectations for this summit" because it would launch a process where all 27 remaining member states of the EU would have a say.

"Crucial decisions on the future of Europe cannot be decided by a small group of member states," referring to recent meetings of foreign ministers from the EU's six founding countries.

He said that decisions must now get the support of the "newer member states".

"It is high time to acknowledge that these countries have a unique experience of transformation," Fico said, referring to the political and economical transition since the fall of communism.

'Brexit brings a new dynamic'

The Slovak premier added that he hoped that the discussions in a 27-format would be "the standard working method for the future."

With this process, members states will reclaim the power of initiative from other EU institutions, in particular the commission.

The meeting was proposed before last week's EU referendum in the UK but was agreed only at this week's summit in Brussels.

It will be an opportunity for Slovakia to push for a more inter-governmental EU.

"The best [way] to improve the EU now is too establish strong ownership of reforms by member states," a Slovak official said and added that "Brexit brings a new dynamic."

'Citizens don't live in institutions'

Slovakia aims to change the balance of power between institutions, Fico's foreign minister Miroslav Lajcak explained.

"Citizens don't live in institutions, they live in member states," he told journalists.

He said that "policies have to be driven by member states" and that the EU administration was there "to make sure that there is no conflict between political decision and their implementation".

He said that some member states felt they were sidelined.

"When the EU council [where member states sit] agrees on something, the commission comes with proposals that are divisive," mainly referring to proposals on refugee sharing.

But the "last thing" he wanted to see was a competition between institutions.

"We don't need finger pointing," Lajcak said. "We all share the responsibility of failures and the responsibility to find solutions."

Excellent: the first tangible steps to take back Europe from Schultz and his Tribe of Rodents.
Transform this Judaic EU bent on flooding our Europa with sub-humans.
Transform this Economic Monstrosity into a Nova Europa of Regions and Peoples.

Imagine, if Il-Gahan Malti, this low-quality People, had voted for us at the last MEP elections.
What We could have done - what We would have achieved.
But Cosmic Destiny is unstoppable - and We will have our Nova Europa - our Imperium.

Free from the Judaic influence.
Free from that Tribe of Rodents in Human Form.
An Imperium for Europids only - with not one Rodent, allowed within our Territories.
