The laws in Malta regarding adoption have to change. In the current situation children have no rights at all while their parents can leave them to rot in an orphanage robbing them of their childhood.

Just a few clarifications :

Although there are thousands of stranded children in Eastern European countries like Russia for example, it is very difficult or expensive to get the rights for adoption. Bondi + some time ago hilighted the story of three russian brothers and sisters living in Malta with a maltese family for a period of time. I know of a family doing the same thing. They pay for the transfer flights and every other expense to provide shelter and a better living to this russian girl for some months each year. Of course they would like to do this permantently because they have witnessed the harsh conditions they live in, but with the current laws the girl must be 18 yrs old to have the right to be adopted. Now some time ago i read on some local newspaper, i think it was Il-Gens, that an agreement has been reached between maltese and russian authorities for the acceptance of child adoption. Just until last week, nothing was done yet, and the process is still way very away from being official.

I am totally in favour of adoption of children from such countries, even by parents already having their own children. I have yet to witness greater love than that which their 'parents' show them and the respect the children show in return for such welcome. It is a very nice experience.

Also, there is little to no problem in blending with the rest of society as after learning our language there is almost no difference from other maltese citizens, apart from less 'hamallagni' and more aesthetic beauty :p

Europeans to adopt Europeans!
Africans to adopt Africans!
Asians to adopt Asians!

Nies bhal dawn imisshom ikunu sterilizzati. Ovvjament dawn ma jipprattikawx is-sess ghal prokreazzjoni, it-tfal m'humiex hlief side-effect spjacevoli ghalihom.

Muscat meets Russian Foreign Minister, adoptions among subject for further talks

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat late yesterday had talks in New York with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Both are attending the UN General Assembly.

Dr Muscat said Russia was a strategic partner with which Malta wanted to deepen its economic and political relationship.

The agenda for the two countries includes ratification of a double taxation avoidance agreement, collaboration in the fight against organised crime, and an agreement to regulate child adoptions.

Very good!

And let us adopt only Europids, preferably non Latins - so as to improve our Racial Stock.
And let us stop the insanity of African adoptions - a dysgenic disaster.
And let Racial Health: Eugenics become a top priority - and discard Christian Cretinism.
