A perfect example of the disservice we are doing ourselves when we make use of our poor and imprecise national language. Hear how crude and inarticulate the pattern of speech and train of thought is! We cannot even get our location or directions right without confusing the hell out of the situation! How can we possibly flesh out the Imperium in Maltese?

The language policy of the Imperium is rather straightforward, and what's better is that it has been tried and tested. I am a living example.

Latin, one of the oldest European languages still codified (along with Greek) will be far enough with regard to the search for our roots - a lingua franca for the whole Imperium. There are other, even more ancient and mystical languages, but these are either uncodified (not present anywhere in written form, we only deduce their existence) or lack the proper form to serve as our lingua franca.

Latin and Greek however, or a new hybrid of the two: Greco-Latin, are present everywhere. They are infused in most of our current working languages, they are present in written manuscripts and inscriptions, etc. The natural sciences are teeming with Greek terminologies. The social sciences employ many Latin terms. Such is the richness of European knowledge. Greco-Latin could be a new hybrid language brought to life in the same manner that Israeli scholars did with Hebrew. The old dead Latin (some say Latin is dead, others say Latin has evolved) or the current ecclesiastical variety of Latin can be updated with the introduction and formation of new words to keep with the times (the very reason why Latin 'died' [if not evolved]) - our creative spark will see to that. This would make such a precise language with palpable words and expressions that people will master it effortlessly and will be able to think higher forms of concepts because they will possess free minds.

This lingua franca will incense no one, not the English, not the French, not the Germans - nobody. Every Europid will receive basic training in the lingua franca then left free to take up his region's own unique regional language as well as other massive working languages (as is currently the case with English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, etc.) Everybody will be free - but the equality of opportunity will be there. This is how the balance between enhancing linguistic connectivity between the regions while preventing the encroachment and supplanting effects of one language over another.

English for example, has a Germanic base (particularly evident connection with Dutch and German in archaic words) with a Romanic superstructure (discussing English law is basically done in Anglicised Latin).

When I was young, I used to study plants with my grandmother. Through her wisdom, she helped me build a small base of Latin and Greek - without boring me with all the grammatical structures. This knowledge then allowed me to perfect my English as well as easily take up Italian, French, German, and - Maltese, the unique, provincial, parochial, language of Malta (evolving from Semitic to European, slowly albeit limitedly). It can be done!

IMPERIUM LANGUAGE POLICY: MORE DETAIL

Multilingualism will be encouraged among the up and coming generations of Imperium citizens. First, the new updated lingua franca (a hybrid of Greek and Latin) that will bind all the dominia in one imperial goblet, then the unique regional dialect/language (think Cornish, Manx, Alemannic, Romansh, Alsatian, Silesian, Kurdish, etc.) of the particular region so that is preserved, and then a couple of other widespread working languages as the speaker may see fit (think English, French, German, etc.). The languages of the other blocs (think Arabic, Turkish, the various forms of Chinese, etc.) will slowly shrink to a specialised set of vocabulary within the other European languages (cuisine, martial arts, mythology, etc.) and to the command by the High Politicians, who will only use them in diplomatic negotiations with such neighbouring blocs. This is necessary so as to prevent the encroaching influence of other blocs onto the Imperium's internal prerogatives.

Hence why the Maltese language is somewhat of a threat, precisely because it gives a foothold, so to speak, to other Afro-Asiatic language speakers into the internal affairs of the future region of Melita. In fact, in Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and others there is the belief that there is the need for a certain affinity (and perhaps immigration) between them and Malta on linguistic (and consequently: cultural) grounds. This is not a question of race (there are thousands of Aryan Berber-speaking people in the Maghreb, if we were to be racist (which we are not), same goes for the Hellenic Turks in pockets scattered throughout Anatolia surrounded by millions of Turco-Mongols, and so many others) but one of politics and culture - familiarity breeds contempt, even among European peoples themselves.

When Norman Lowell refers to an Imperium with 'ever-expanding, but sealed borders' he means not only the physical frontiers that we will have to erect, provisionally or permanently, to safeguard the territorial integrity of the Imperium but also cultural ones. Physical borders are meaningless if the, much more potent, encroachment and subjugation of cultures persist.

For years and years we have propagated that Latin should be the national language of Malta. Now, slowly but surely, the other camps are converting to our ideology - even if they are not aware of it. What matters is that the same results are achieved for the long-term benefit of the nation.

Watch: University considers linking free tuition to qualification in Maltese
Rector calls for increase in student population

The University of Malta is considering linking a qualification in Maltese to the waiver of fees, which Rector Alfred Vella believes is an important way to safeguard the future of the language.
“What if we were to introduce a requirement saying that anyone who is eligible on all the criteria, including Maltese, would not pay fees and would get a stipend? Those who do not meet the requirement would be able to study but would pay fees and not get a stipend,” he mused.
“Is Maltese at risk? If not, then this measure would not be tolerated. But if it is, then it would probably find favour with whoever is looking at what we are doing. I can provide numerous articles which suggest that it is.”
In no way does the University want to discriminate between Maltese and non-Maltese
The introduction of Maltese as a requisite is not a new concept: medical Maltese has already been introduced as a criterion for entry into the medical course, and is taught to prospective foreign students who want to study medicine.
Prof. Vella said that the university was seeking legal advice on the matter as it in no way wanted to discriminate between Maltese and non-Maltese.
There is no doubt that the move could be interpreted as a way to deter non-fee-paying foreign students. He insists that this is not his motive, stressing that one in every 10 students at the university is foreign, of which 900 come from the EU and do not have to pay fees, in line with the situation for Maltese.
But while EU students do not contribute financially to the University coffers, about 500 third country nationals – from Russia, the Middle East, US and China, for example – generate 20 per cent of the university’s revenue, hardly something that he would want to deter.
This is clearly a dilemma as marketing would boost student intake figures from both the EU and beyond, he admitted.

This is absolutely insane and the idea of medical Maltese is totally ridiculous.
What should be done is , put the Maltese language in a university sanctuary to be studied like the gaelic language,
while the nation shifts to another language that suits the time being.

Saying it in Maltese: Siblings on a mission to make you say it right

Reuben Degiorgio and his sister Audrienne are passionate about the Maltese language. Reuben, in particular, grew even fonder of the Maltese language when he started studying to become a translator, a profession he now practices in Brussels. ...

The first para says it all - saving his useless job in Brussels.
Uncaring as to the mental damage on our children, as this Arabic claque tears into their European genetic essence.
A poor, Arabic dialect spoken in soft Latin modulation - a curse on our People, as Fortunato Mizzi used to put it.
