The self-proclaimed Elite of Malta is the most dangerous minority there is. With the empty sprawling villas but without a single book in sight they betrayed the country and its people culturally, politically, environmentally, socially, economically, and financially. One only has to hear them speak to find that they are hollow as a drum, articulate in neither English nor Maltese, no sense of history, anthropology, or culture, no tone with nature - The kind of people who are scared to take a walk without racing over vegetation and natural terrain with their ugly oversized cars.

A few months ago, a team of journalists went to the entrance of the House of Representatives and started asking questions to incoming and outgoing MPs, taken from Maltese social studies, history, and geography GCSEs. Beyond appalling! Some did not know who Joseph Stalin was, whether Portugal is a European country or not, and more and more. Some thought Sicily is a country, others thought that Belgium is a city in Germany, Britain is not an island, etc. etc. And to think that the very destiny of this country is in the hands of these morons!

So true.
The two parties have corrupted the UoM. During the nationalist administration, they modified the requisites and removed the maltese language in order to accommodate the De Marcos. They were quick to restore the requisites soon after.
During the labour governance they allowed Toni Abela's daughter to sit for a special examination session so that she could pass.
